The Bridge House Hotel

About

Set in attractive gardens on the banks of the River Swale, the Bridge House Hotel dates from the 15th Century and provides an unforgettable historic atmosphere. Ideal for a short break in this beautiful part of Yorkshire. Our high standards of service also make us an attractive choice for business customers who appreciate the personal touch offered by a privately-owned establishment. All of our fifteen recently refurbished guest rooms are well-appointed, with en suite facilities, many with views of the river.

Guests can enjoy a quiet drink in our comfortable hotel bar and excellent food in our bistro.  The sizeable Riverside Restaurant, Ballroom and Lounge provide the perfect venue for weddings, parties and conferences of any size.

The Bridge House Hotel is conveniently located close to the A1 and is within reach of excellent rail and air links, offering the ideal opportunity to visit the nearby market town of Richmond (The hotel is 4 miles east-southeast of Richmond), the Yorkshire Dales National Park or to travel further afield to the Yorkshire coast or the vibrant cities of York and Newcastle. The hotel is one of the closest to Catterick Garrison and has a long history with accommodating the forces. Catterick Racecourse is situated opposite the Hotel, making us the destination of choice for guests wanting to relax after a day at the races. Please note that, as the Bridge is Grade 1 listed, we have no lift or ground floor guest bedrooms.
